People write for a lot different reasons. There are some who do it for the sheer pleasure of creation. Some who do it for money, and some who have this deep need to bare their souls to the world; they have something inside that must be released to the general population.I wouldn’t say that I fall into any of those categories exactly, or maybe I settle into each of them perfectly. The truth is professional writing is not exciting as one might imagine. Instead of writing sweeping, life affirming, investigative magazine articles, you often end up writing, boring, mechanical, business articles on the many facets of crown molding. While this type of work pays the bills, and pays them quite well by the way, it can be a grind. To love the grind, is to love writing in its purest form, and I adore the grind.
As a writer I have been a comic book journalist, following the Comic Convention circuit and hanging out with artists and writers. I have tried my hand at script writing. I have blogged extensively. Blogging is one of my true loves. My work is displayed without bylines as a content writer and with bylines as guest blogger. My work can be found gracing the pages of business publications and how-to manuals. I am a writer, it’s not what I do, it’s who I am, and I do it for all the reasons formerly mentioned, and a million other reasons that I probably don’t even comprehend.
